Alta Colina Winery opens Trailer Pond for special events

    – Alta Colina Vineyards & Winery will host two public events Aug. 22 and 23 at The Trailer Pond, which is typically reserved for overnight guests.

The Trailer Pond, located on the winery’s organically farmed estate at 2825 Adelaida Road, features five restored vintage trailers arranged around a pond.

The Summer Hangouts tasting experience will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Guests can reserve by purchasing one bottle of Alta Colina wine for every two guests, to enjoy on site or take home. Wine selection will occur upon arrival. Attendees must be 21 or older and sign a waiver before visiting.

The Golden Hour Tastings will begin at 6 p.m. each day and feature a communal, guided tasting with owner Maggie Tillman. Ten seats are available for this event.

Member pricing is $20 and non-member pricing is $40. All ticket sales are nonrefundable. Reservations can be made at altacolina.com/event-directory.

“We thought it’d just be a pond with a few cool old trailers and it’s turned into one of our most-loved hidden spots to share,” Tillman said. “It’s relaxed, it’s gorgeous, and the wine speaks for itself. Come see it before summer wraps up.”

Alta Colina was founded by Bob and Lynn Tillman in 2003 and produces Rhône-style wines in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles. The family-owned winery focuses on small-lot wines, regenerative farming and on-site guest experiences.
