– McPrice Myers Wines has opened a new tasting room in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles, the winery announced.
The tasting room opened in June and was designed with sustainability in mind, incorporating repurposed shipping containers, solar power, EV charging stations, and landscaping with native plants. The patio is shaded by 150-year-old oak trees, and the indoor bar was built from McPrice Myers’ oak barrels. The space has seating for 26 indoors, room for 20 more at the bar, and outdoor accommodations for 60 people on the patio and another 40 in a meadow area. The site is also pet-friendly, with branded bandanas available for dogs.
“I’m incredibly excited to welcome guests to our new tasting room,” said McPrice Myers, founder and winemaker. “We wanted to build a place where people can slow down, enjoy the beauty of Paso, and connect with the wines we work so hard to craft. This new space brings that vision to life.”
The winery said the tasting room reflects its philosophy of leaving the land better than it was found. Co-owner Venus Lai said the project represents a major milestone.
“This isn’t just a building – it represents years of hard work and commitment,” Lai said. “Please join us in this beautiful new space – created as the perfect backdrop to enjoy Mac’s incredible wines and share in the journey we’ve built together. Cheers!”
Director of business operations Liz Gillingham described the new space as both functional and aligned with the winery’s brand. “It’s right on brand – classic, elegant, approachable. Just like Mac and his vibe. We’ve got the steel exterior, the leather furniture, the containers – it’s all iconic and yet familiar. Graceful and powerful,” she said.
The winery plans to offer special tastings for club members, including barrel tastings, library selections, vertical tastings, and curated educational experiences. A new hilltop structure will provide private group tastings, and the winery will host live music, member parties, and other events.
McPrice Myers Wines was founded in 2002 by Myers, a self-taught winemaker. He established the estate winery in the Adelaida District in 2014 and partnered with Lai in 2017 to expand the estate vineyards and add the Hilltop Guest House. The winery produces Rhône and Bordeaux varietals, as well as sparkling wines and its “Hard Working Wines” label.
The tasting room is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 3525 Adelaida Road, Paso Robles. Reservations are available online, and walk-ins are welcome. More information is available at mcpricemyers.com or by calling (805) 237-1245.
