Vegetation fire contained near North County elementary school
– Firefighters responded Thursday afternoon to a vegetation fire across from Vineyard Elementary School on Vineyard Road in Templeton, according to the San Luis Obispo County Fire Department.
The fire burned about 2 to 3 acres of grass before forward progress was stopped. Vineyard Road is closed in the area of the incident, and drivers are asked to use alternate routes to allow emergency crews to continue operations safely.
Crews remained on the scene for mop-up and patrol to ensure full containment.
