Paso Picture Show screens Sideways this weekend at Bianchi Winery
Film critic Kirk Honeycutt and journalist Mira Advani Honeycutt will hold a book signing and question-and-answer session. Their book, Sideways Uncorked: The Perfect Pairing of Film & Wine, details the making of Alexander Payne’s film and its impact on California’s wine industry.
Authors of Sideways Uncorked hold book signing and Q&A before screening
– Paso Picture Show will present an outdoor screening of Sideways at Bianchi Winery on Saturday, Sept. 20.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Guests can claim spots on the lawn, purchase Bianchi wines, take part in movie trivia for prizes, and use a free photo booth. At 6:30 p.m., film critic Kirk Honeycutt and journalist Mira Advani Honeycutt will hold a book signing and question-and-answer session. Their book, Sideways Uncorked: The Perfect Pairing of Film & Wine, details the making of Alexander Payne’s film and its impact on California’s wine industry. The outdoor screening of Sideways will begin after sunset.
Sideways, released in 2004 and adapted from Rex Pickett’s unpublished novel, won the Academy Award for best adapted screenplay. The film stars Paul Giamatti, Thomas Haden Church, Virginia Madsen, and Sandra Oh.

Paso Picture Show is a project of Wildley Creative, created by Bradley and Wilder Simmons. Bradley Simmons, originally from Chicago, has edited feature films, sitcoms, and branded content in Los Angeles for two decades. He has earned a Primetime Emmy nomination and has worked on projects for Netflix and Nickelodeon. Wilder Simmons, a California native, began her career in sketch comedy at theaters such as UCB and Second City before working as a writer, director, and actor. She has written for Adult Swim, FunnyOrDie, and Nickelodeon’s reboot of Fairly OddParents.
The Simmonses founded Paso Picture Show to combine film and community through curated screenings at Central Coast wineries.
