    San Antonio Valley Historical Association to present program on Salinan culture

    – The San Antonio Valley Historical Association will present “The Salinan Indian Culture of Monterey County” on Nov. 8 at the San Antonio Valley Community Center, 65951 Lockwood San Lucas Rd., Lockwood, CA 93932.

    The presentation will be given by Michael Erin Woody, a council member of the Salinan Tribe of Monterey and San Luis Obispo Counties, civil engineer, tribal historian, and advocate for federal recognition.

    Appetizers and beverages will be served at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the presentation and dessert.

    Admission is $35 for San Antonio Valley Historical Association members and $40 for nonmembers. Reservations are required by Oct. 30. To reserve, contact Maria Weinerth at (805) 472-2780 or Patricia Woodfill at (831) 385-0323, or email savha4@gmail.
