Atascadero Community Band to mark 40 years with free concert

– The Atascadero Community Band will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a free concert at 3 p.m. on Oct. 26 at Atascadero Bible Church, 6225 Atascadero Ave.

Founded in 1985, the all-volunteer band has become a local fixture, known for its free Tuesday evening summer concerts at Atascadero Lake Park. Over the past four decades, the band has welcomed musicians of all ages and experience levels while performing for audiences throughout San Luis Obispo County.

The anniversary concert will feature music that reflects the band’s history, honor its founder and past members, and look toward the future.

The event is open to the public, and donations will be accepted to benefit Woods Humane Society.
