Railroad work closes Highway 58 intersection in Santa Margarita
Message signs will direct traffic around the Highway 58 closure
– A railroad maintenance project will close the intersection of Highway 58 and El Camino Real in Santa Margarita from Saturday, Nov. 22 at 6 a.m. through Tuesday, Nov. 25 at noon.
With the intersection closed, travelers will leave Highway 58 and detour on Encina Avenue and H Street before returning to the highway.
Message signs will notify travelers of the closure, and directional signs will indicate the detour route.
During the closure, Union Pacific Railroad will perform a full rehabilitation and maintenance project at the railroad crossing.
