    Obituary of Nancy Parcells, 70

    Nancy Parcells.

    – Nancy Parcells, 70, passed away peacefully at her home in Middlesex on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025, following a long and courageous battle, embraced by the love and care of her family.

Born in Paso Robles, California, Nancy met her lifelong partner, Alfred Parcells Jr., at age 19 while he was serving on active duty with the United States Army. Together, they traveled across the country, living on various military bases until his retirement. They eventually settled in Middlesex Borough, New Jersey, where they continued to raise their two sons, Fred and Spencer. She loved her forever home — a charming white house with black shutters, a red door, and a white picket fence — a place that became the heart of countless family memories. Pride in country and pride in family defined who she was.

Over the years, Nancy worked in the cafeteria at Mauger Middle School and at the Hallmark Store in Middlesex. At each of these jobs, she made lasting connections and left with friends who continued to enrich her life. She loved to stay in touch with family and friends, old and new, and could often be found on the phone checking in and catching up. She had a way of making people feel noticed and heard.

Nancy was a woman of warmth and kindness, known for her generous spirit and her love of caring for others. Her home was more than just a house — it was the place where people gathered, laughed, and found comfort. It was where her sons’ friends came to share jokes and stories, where friends became family, and where anyone could find a seat on the couch and feel at ease. It was a home filled with the smell of fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies, the sound of laughter, and a mean game of UNO — a place where grandchildren and nieces and nephews were joyfully spoiled and where traditions were born.

Nancy is survived by her devoted husband, Alfred Parcells, Jr.; her two sons, Alfred Parcells III and his wife, Denise, and Spencer Parcells and his wife, Colleen. Gran will be lovingly remembered by her five grandchildren—Isabel, Thomas, Addison, Luke, and Molly—as well as her siblings, Harold Robertson, Cathy David, James Robertson, and Jeanie Graziano. She is now at peace, reunited with her sister, Theresa, and her parents, Frankie and James Robertson, in the embrace of those who went before her.

Nancy will be inurned at a later date in Robles Cemetery, Paso Robles, California, her beloved hometown, returning to the roots that shaped her life.
