Central Coast Funds for Children awards $112,000 to local programs
Forty-two non-profits receive grants for children’s services
– Central Coast Funds for Children will distribute $112,000 among 42 non-profits that serve children in San Luis Obispo County, the organization announced Nov. 20. The funding comes from the group’s gala fundraiser held Oct. 4.
The organization stated the funds will support programs that provide food, clothing, medical and dental care, therapy, counseling, and other services. Grant recipients include the SLO Food Bank, People’s Self-Help Housing, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Along Comes Hope, United Cerebral Palsy SLO, and the Center for Family Strengthening. Forty-two non-profits applied for and will receive support.
Central Coast Funds for Children is a 31-year-old nonprofit organization that raises money in San Luis Obispo County for children in need. The organization has donated more than $2.2 million to support local children.
