Templeton High School celebrates six student-athletes signing college letters
– Templeton High School celebrated six student-athletes signing letters to attend colleges next year to compete in sports at the next level.
- Jessie Branch is going to play softball at Lake Erie College, which is near Cleveland
- Tyler Eade is going to compete in Equestrian at UC Davis
- McKenna White is attending Dominican University and will play Soccer
- Tyler Cunningham will play football next year at Yale
- Luke Kahler will attend Cal State LA and play soccer
- And Kevin Sass is going to play Lacrosse at St. Thomas University
Each athlete’s coach spoke about the opportunity and the athlete’s career while attending Templeton High School.
Coach Don Crow said Tyler Cuningham scored 33 touchdowns, rushed for 2200 yards, and scored all six possible ways as a running back, receiver, defensive back, and special teams player. He was named the league’s Most Valuable Player.
Although Tempelton does not have a Lacrosse team, Kevin Sass played with a club team. Lacrosse is played at some California schools, but is more common on the East Coast.
The event attracted more than 150 people on Wednesday night at the high school. Next year, it may be held at the gym.
