Adelaide Inn, along with its sister property Best Western Plus Black Oak in Paso Robles, has strengthened their commitment to community support through this year’s “Go Pink” Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign. Together, the generationally family-owned and operated properties helped raise awareness and committed to donating a portion of their October revenue to SabesWings, an organization dedicated to alleviating the financial burden for cancer patients who are faced with choosing between treatments and daily necessities.

Throughout the month, Adelaide Inn “went pink,” incorporating décor in the lobby, including staff wearing pink t-shirts with inspiring words of hope and strength. The campaign concluded with the presentation of a symbolic “big check” for $5,366.86 to SabesWings. Best Western Plus Black Oak also raised $1,047.67, raising a combined total of $6,414.53 from these iconic Paso Robles hotels, reflecting their dedication to supporting local families and honoring loved ones impacted by cancer.

The initiative held personal meaning for the Masia family, whose two hotels have long been fixtures of the Paso Robles hospitality community. “It has been a true honor for the Adelaide Inn to partner with SabesWings in support of their incredible mission,” said General Manager Shaina Knightshead. “Donating in honor of my uncle, Matt Masia—who ran the Adelaide Inn for many years and whose strength and spirit continue to inspire all who knew him—means a great deal to our team. We are grateful for the opportunity to carry forward his legacy and to contribute to the meaningful work SabesWings does for families facing the challenges of cancer.”

“It was with great pride that we were able to pair with SabesWings this year as the recipient of our October Go Pink campaign,” said Angela McKee, General Manager of Best Western Plus Black Oak. “They continue to help and support those facing cancer struggles in our community, and we are grateful for what they do.”

The partnership also reflects the hotel’s continued commitment to uplifting the Paso Robles community. “The sincerity and organized efforts of the SabesWings organization, led by Brett and Kandice, are inspiring, and the Adelaide Inn is honored to be able to make this contribution in an effort to make a difference in people’s lives,” added Owner Mitchell Masia.

SabesWings, founded by former MLB player Brett Saberhagen and his wife Kandice, is on a mission to spread love and kindness while providing hope and support to those who need it most here in Paso Robles and across the United States.

Brand Director Audrey Arellano concluded, “We are so excited about our newfound relationship and partnership with SabesWings and look forward to future opportunities to support them and other meaningful causes that directly impact local families in our community.”
