Maoli bringing island sound to Vina Robles Amphitheatre

Performance marks stop on post-album release schedule

    – Maoli will perform at Vina Robles Amphitheatre on Saturday, April 18. Tickets for the Paso Robles show will go on sale Friday, Dec. 19, at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.

The performance follows the release of a reimagined version of Maoli’s album, Last Sip of Summer. The updated version, titled Last Sip of Summer (Island Vibe Edition), revisits each track while maintaining the artist’s island influences.

“Last Sip of Summer was always about capturing a feeling—now the whole album breathes island air,” Maoli said. “We didn’t just remix the album—we reimagined it. Last Sip of Summer was born in the sun, but now it’s soaked in reggae. Every track hits warmer, heavier, and closer to where we come from.”

Maoli recently completed a U.S. headline tour in support of Last Sip of Summer, with stops that included venues in Los Angeles, Honolulu and Las Vegas.

His music career began in seventh grade when he learned to play the ukulele. He later returned to music with encouragement from his uncle, launching a career that has spanned about 15 years. His catalog includes original releases and cover songs such as Brett Young’s “Mercy” and “In Case You Didn’t Know.” Maoli and Young collaborated on the song “Broke Heart Break” last year.

Maoli blends island reggae with country influences, drawing on similarities in melody, rhythm and storytelling. In 2010, his second album, Rock Easy, reached the Top 5 on Billboard’s Reggae charts and included three No. 1 singles: “Breaking My Heart,” “Whisper” and “Rock Easy.”

In 2020, Maoli received Group of the Year and Album of the Year honors for Sense Of Purpose at iHeart’s Island Awards. He later received Album of the Year and Song of the Year awards in 2021.

In 2023, the band launched the “Maoli Music Overload” tour, selling more than 45,000 tickets across four cities in Hawaii. The tour also sold 11,500 tickets in the continental United States and included festival appearances such as Cali Roots and Holo Holo Fest Sacramento.
