City council receives update on Highway 46 East overpass project

    – The City of Paso Robles is accepting applications for three upcoming vacancies on the Planning Commission through Jan. 29 at 5 p.m.

The Planning Commission prepares recommendations to the City Council regarding the city’s General Plan and Zoning Ordinance. The commission also performs duties related to the approval or denial of development applications, including conditional use permits, development plans, tentative maps and environmental reviews required under the California Environmental Quality Act.

The commission meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Subcommittee meetings are scheduled at the convenience of commission members. All commissioners must participate in a rotational assignment to the Development Review Committee for five months each year. That committee meets each Monday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Commissioners can expect to dedicate between 15 and 20 hours per month to meetings, subcommittee meetings and meeting preparation.

Appointments are three-year terms expiring Feb. 28, 2029.
