Weekend vending opportunity available at Atascadero Lake Park
– The City of Atascadero and the Central Coast Zoo announced a weekend vending opportunity for local food vendors at Atascadero Lake Park.
Beginning June 20 through the end of September, approved vendors may sell food at the entrance of the Central Coast Zoo every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. The program is intended to offer food options not currently available to zoo visitors and parkgoers.
Scheduled weekend dates include June 20–21 and 27–28; July 5, 11–12, 18–19, and 25–26; Aug. 1–2, 8–9, 23, and 29–30; and Sept. 5–6, 13, 19–20, and 26–27.
Participating vendors are required to offer a variety of food items and, when possible, commit to both Saturday and Sunday during a scheduled weekend. Vendors must provide a small, quiet generator, as electricity is not available on site. A fee equal to 9 percent of weekend sales is required. Vendors must also carry $1 million in general liability insurance naming the City of Atascadero as additionally insured, hold a current city business license, and maintain a valid Health Department permit.
