    – Protests were held in north San Luis Obispo County over the weekend, with demonstrations taking place Saturday in Paso Robles and Sunday in Atascadero.

On Saturday, a rally was held in downtown Paso Robles from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the corner of 12th and Spring streets. The event was organized by the Paso Robles Democratic Club.

Participants carried messages calling for the return of health care access, opposition to additional wars, opposition to immigration enforcement practices, and action related to the Epstein order.

On Sunday, a protest walk and candlelight vigil were held from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Atascadero Lake, located at 9305 Pismo Ave. The event included a walk around the lake followed by a candlelit memorial vigil held at twilight to honor the lives taken by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), including Renee Good, who was shot and killed by an ICE agent in Minneapolis on Jan. 7.
