Paso Robles seeks volunteer to lead senior iPad classes
Classes to support seniors at varying skill levels
– The City of Paso Robles is seeking a volunteer to lead free weekly iPad classes for older adults at the Paso Robles Senior Center.
The classes would be offered once a week and designed for seniors with varying skill levels, including beginners learning basic functions and participants seeking to improve everyday use of apps, email, photos, and online resources. The volunteer instructor would lead hands-on instruction during the sessions.
“Our goal is to help seniors feel comfortable using technology that can enhance their daily lives, improve communication with loved ones, and increase access to information and services,” said Elaine Ernst, Senior Center Coordinator. “We are looking for someone who enjoys teaching, is patient, and wants to give back to the community.”
The volunteer should be comfortable using an iPad and explaining technology in simple terms. Teaching experience is helpful but not required. Training, classroom space, and participant coordination will be provided by Senior Center staff.
Community members interested in the volunteer opportunity are encouraged to contact the Paso Robles Senior Center for additional information.
