Police seek suspect in Home Depot theft 

Suspect allegedly stole more than $1,800 in merchandise

– The San Luis Obispo Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify a person suspected of theft.

According to the police department, on Sunday, Feb. 1, at about 5:15 p.m., the individual attempted to steal more than $1,800 in merchandise from Home Depot. After a brief struggle with loss prevention employees, the person fled the store, went to Whole Foods, removed some clothing, and then drove away in a dark-colored sedan.

Anyone with information that may help identify the individual is asked to call Officer LaDow at (805) 594-8053 or Crime Stoppers at (805) 549-7867. The case number is 260201061.
