– Paso Robles Joint Unified School District families are invited to attend a presentation by author Kristin Souers focused on brain health and learning.
Souers will lead a research-based session titled “10 Things Our Brains Need to Be Healthy,” designed for parents and adult caregivers, including grandparents, aunts and uncles, coaches, child care providers, teachers, and foster parents. The presentation will explore how stress affects teaching and learning and will outline ten strategies to support brain health. Attendees will receive practical tools aimed at helping children and adults remain regulated, focused, and ready to learn while strengthening adult-child relationships.
The event is open to parents and educators of transitional kindergarten through 12th grade students and will take place Wednesday, Feb. 11, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Georgia Brown Multi-Purpose Room, located at 900 Creston Road in Paso Robles.
Participants will receive a resource related to the presentation, and several attendees will have an opportunity to win a book written by Souers. Child care and refreshments will be provided.
