Paso Robles students bringing Seussical Kids to the stage
Musical follows Horton the Elephant protecting a tiny world
– The Paso Robles High School Theatre Company will present Seussical Kids on Feb. 20 and 21 at Paso Robles High School.
The production features characters from the stories of Dr. Seuss, including Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, and the Whos of Whoville.
Performances will take place at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. each evening in the Paso Robles High School Performing Arts Center, 801 Niblick Road, Paso Robles. Tickets are available at www.pasoschools.org/phtc.
The musical runs approximately 30 minutes and follows Horton the Elephant as he discovers a tiny world on a speck of dust and vows to protect it, proving that “a person’s a person, no matter how small.” The Cat in the Hat guides audiences through the story.
The production is directed by Marcy Keyser-Goodnow and includes students performing on stage and working behind the scenes.
The show is open to the community and intended for families, including elementary-aged children attending live theater for the first time.
