Salinas rescue dog seeks patient home– The Adoptable Pet of the Week this week is Daffodil, a 1- to 2-year-old female dog available for adoption from Novy’s Ark Dog Rescue and Adoption.
Novy’s Ark rescued Daffodil from the Salinas shelter, where she showed signs of fear. Shelter staff identified her as a pug and Boston terrier mix, though rescuers believe she may be part French bulldog. She weighs 24 pounds.
Daffodil is shy with new people and fearful of men. The rescue organization said she will need a home that understands it may take time for her to adjust. She is housebroken, crate-trained, rides well in a car, walks well on a leash, and enjoys toys and playing fetch. Once comfortable with another dog, she enjoys playing and may benefit from living with a confident dog.
