Paso Robles reappoints two Planning Commissioners, names new member
– The Paso Robles City Council reappointed two sitting members of the Paso Robles Planning Commission and appointed one new member during a special meeting on Feb. 11.
The council interviewed five applicants to fill three open positions on the Planning Commission. The commissioners’ three-year terms begin March 1.
Ty Christensen was reappointed to serve a third term. He was first appointed on March 1, 2020. Christensen has served as chairperson of the Planning Commission and has voted on projects including the Beechwood Specific Plan and the Gateway Annexation. He is a Paso Robles resident who works in the real estate industry.
Eric Marlow was reappointed to serve a second term. He was first appointed on March 1, 2023. Marlow is a construction project manager with experience working with architects and engineers on private and public construction projects.
The council appointed Ashley Lorenz to the Planning Commission to replace Pat Connelly, who did not seek reappointment. Lorenz grew up in San Luis Obispo County and has worked in the city since 2012. She is a business owner, commercial real estate professional, and hospitality operator who manages properties including the Park Ballroom and the Clock Tower building in City Park. She was also a member of the project team for the Hotel Ava development on Pine Street.
All three commissioners will serve terms beginning March 1.
