Paso Robles boxer earns knockout win in Long Beach
Subia is scheduled to fight again on April 3
– Local professional boxer JJ Subia earned his third professional victory Friday, Feb. 27, by knockout, improving his record to 3-0-1 with all three wins coming by first-round knockout.
Subia trains in Paso Robles at Goat Shack Boxing Club. He competed against Robert Fichtner at Thunder Studios in Long Beach and opened the event.
Subia stopped Fichtner 2 minutes and 5 seconds into the first round after dropping him within the first minute. The referee stopped the fight following a series of punches from Subia.
Subia is scheduled to fight again on April 3 in a bout promoted by Manny Pacquiao Promotions. The upcoming match will mark his fifth professional fight.
Subia and his team acknowledged support from the local community, including German Performance, Rob Davis Construction, Kenneth’s Heating and Air, La Parilla, and Supreme Market.
