Estrella Warbirds Museum revives ‘pizza and movie night’ event for its April dinner

– Estrella Warbirds Museum will hold its monthly dinner on April 1 in Paso Robles, reviving its “Pizza and a Movie” format for the first time in several years.
The museum will screen Into Flight Once More, a 65-minute documentary chronicling the restoration and flight of several U.S.-based C-47s and DC-3s that participated in the 75th anniversary of the D-Day invasion of Normandy during World War II. The film follows the aircraft flying over New York City, then to Canada, Greenland, Iceland, Scotland, and finally Duxford in the United Kingdom. It also includes aerial footage captured by a camera on the rear fuselage of Betsy’s Biscuit Bomber, the C-47 based at the museum. Members of the museum and the Gooney Bird Group appear in the film with speaking parts.
Doors open and social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. The movie begins at 6:30 p.m. There is no admission charge. Ice cream, popcorn, and pizza by the slice are available for purchase at $3 each. Beer, wine, soft drinks, and water will also be available for purchase. Outside food is not permitted.
