Central Coast Funds for Children presents $3,000 donation to Tolosa Children’s Dental

– Central Coast Funds for Children recently presented a $3,000 donation to Tolosa Children’s Dental in San Luis Obispo. The contribution will provide toothbrushes and dental floss for 5,000 children in need of dental care.
Alexandra Chamberlain, executive director of Tolosa Children’s Dental, accepted the donation on behalf of the organization.
“We are thrilled to accept this donation on behalf of Tolosa Children’s Dental,” said Chamberlain. “Over the years, Central Coast Funds for Children has contributed a total of $25,000 to our nonprofit. Tolosa is currently opening a Dentistry at School Program at Lillian Larsen School in San Miguel, enabling us to help more children who need access to dental care. The Dentistry at School Programs help reduce barriers to oral health care like transportation, time off from work, and so many other challenges families face, especially in our more remote communities.”
Tolosa Children’s Dental provides pediatric dental services including preventative care, oral health education, restorative treatments, and emergency care. More information is available at www.tolosachildrensdental.org.
Central Coast Funds for Children is a 31-year-old nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funds for children in need in San Luis Obispo County. The organization has donated over $2.2 million to date and distributes funds to organizations and agencies through a grant process.
