Templeton Library hosts Easter egg hunt and sale April 4

Sales open at 8 a.m.; egg hunt begins at 9:30 a.m.

    – Templeton Library will kick off its First Saturday Sales series on April 4, with sales opening at 8 a.m. The sales continue on the first Saturday of each month through June, then resume in September through November. The series takes a break in July and August.

Each sale will feature thrift, vintage, flea, and makers’ tents stocked with small furniture, jewelry, marbles, clothes, collectibles, art, Western tack, books, gently used toys, and tools.

The April sale will include an Easter egg hunt for children ages 1 to 8, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The hunt is candy-free. Plastic eggs will be stuffed with prizes, trinkets, stickers, and coupons redeemable immediately following the hunt. Two separate hunt areas will be available — one for children ages 1 to 4 and one for children ages 5 to 8. Tables of books and prizes will also be available for children.

The First Saturday Sales serve as a fundraiser that provides operational funding for Templeton Library through donations. Templeton Library is the only entirely donor-funded library in the area. Although Templeton residents pay 1.6% of their property taxes for county library services, Templeton Library does not receive county taxpayer funds. Those tax dollars fund 14 other county branches.
