Daffodil is active, affectionate, and thrives on companionship
– The Adoptable Pet of the Week this week is Daffodil, a 1½-year-old mixed-breed dog rescued from the Salinas Animal Services Center, where she was at risk due to fearful behavior.
Believed to be primarily a French bulldog mix with Chihuahua and poodle, Daffodil is active, affectionate, and thrives on companionship. She would do best in a home with another playful dog and a family willing to provide structure and patience as she adjusts to new surroundings.
While initially shy — particularly around men — she warms up quickly with guidance and has shown herself to be a loyal and engaging companion. She enjoys walks, loves playing fetch, and is especially good with children. She was briefly adopted but returned due to fearful barking.
Daffodil is already spayed and microchipped and is ready for a permanent home.
