Obituary of George Edward Lehnhoff, 84

George Edward Lehnhoff.
– George Edward Lehnhoff, a lifelong resident of Templeton, passed away peacefully on April 4 at the age of 84. He was born on September 14, 1941, in Atascadero.
George attended Templeton schools and graduated in 1959. He was a third-generation dairy farmer and grew up helping his father with the cows and the farming of the land.
In 1962, George married Nancy Dean in Reno, Nevada. Together, they moved onto the dairy property off Templeton Road. Soon after, they welcomed two children: a son, and a daughter. As soon as his son got older, he began working with George on the family farm, Lehnhoff Farms. In 1997, after selling the cows, they transitioned to selling hay to local customers. George was a hard worker, and loved farming with his son.
George was well-respected by everyone who knew him. He was a member of the Milk Advisory Board, the Farm Bureau, and the American Legion Auxiliary. One of his favorite pastimes was going to equipment auctions.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nancy; his two children, Rick (Carrie) Lehnhoff and Kim Lehnhoff; his sister, Donna Lehnhoff; three grandchildren, Ted (Kendra) Lehnhoff, Samantha (Eric) Lehnhoff-Azarvand, and Whitney (Buck) Morris; and two great-grandchildren, Grayson and Bryson Lehnhoff. He also leaves behind numerous cousins and many lifelong friends.
Graveside services will be held on April 16 at 11 a.m. at the Templeton Cemetery. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
