    Fire near Paso Robles threatens structures, burns 8.8 acres 

    Cause of the fire remains under investigation

    – Cal Fire responded to a vegetation fire that threatened multiple structures in northern San Luis Obispo County on Wednesday afternoon, according to a post on Cal Fire’s X page.

    Cal Fire received reports of the fire at about 2:18 p.m. in the 6000 block of Hog Canyon Road, northeast of Paso Robles.

    By 2:40 p.m., the fire had grown to about three acres and was threatening multiple structures on Hog Canyon Road, according to Cal Fire.

    Fire crews reached about 50% containment at 2:52 p.m., with the fire holding at about three acres.

    Cal Fire later reported a final update that the Hog fire reached 100% containment and, based on updated mapping, burned 8.8 acres.

    The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to Cal Fire.
