Kermit King Elementary announces selection of new student engagement specialist

Anna Williams brings more than 20 years experience
– Kermit King Elementary School announced the appointment of Anna Williams as student engagement specialist.
Williams brings more than 20 years of experience in education. She most recently served as an assistant principal at an elementary school. Her work has focused on serving students and families through relationship-centered practices.
The student engagement specialist role performs the responsibilities of an assistant principal. Elementary schools in the district are staffed with a principal and a student engagement specialist. The role focuses on school safety and managing student behavior.
As student engagement specialist, Williams will lead efforts to improve student attendance, increase participation in school activities, and strengthen partnerships between the school and families in the Paso Robles community.
Principal Lisa Shipman said, “We are thrilled to welcome Anna Williams to the Kermit King family. Her decades of leadership experience, combined with her unwavering passion for building meaningful, inclusive connections, make her the perfect fit for this vital role. We are confident that her leadership will significantly enhance our students’ sense of belonging and academic achievement.”
“I am honored to join the team at Kermit King Elementary,” Williams said. “My career has been defined by the goal of listening to students and families to ensure they feel truly seen and supported. I look forward to implementing strategies that make our school an even more vibrant, welcoming, and engaging place for every single child.”
Williams will begin July 27.
