Templeton library hosts sound bath fundraiser May 9
Donations support operations at Templeton’s donor-funded library
– Templeton Library will host a sound bath meditation fundraiser on Saturday, May 9, at 2 p.m.
Maly Willis will lead guests through silent meditation with a gong, chimes, and Tibetan singing bowls. Participants will be spaced in alcoves and other areas throughout the library to meditate among the books and practice grounding and breathing exercises.
To reserve a space, participants must email library.templeton@gmail.org. Donations for the fundraiser are $25 and are payable in advance through Venmo or PayPal. Participants may also pay with cash or card at the door. Space is limited.
Templeton Library is funded entirely through donations. Templeton residents pay 1.6% of their property taxes for county library services, but the library does not receive county taxpayer funds. Those tax dollars fund 14 other county branches.
The First Saturday Sales serve as a fundraiser that provides operational funding for Templeton Library through donations.
