Tootsie, a 2-year-old chiweenie, was among 14 dogs rescued from a tough situation in Kern County and later brought to safety, according to the rescue. She was initially shy and under-socialized, but has since adjusted in a foster home and now displays a playful and affectionate temperament.

She is reported to be good with children and other dogs, housebroken, and has been spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Tootsie weighs about 12 pounds.
