City Council sets May 6 special meeting, encourages participation
Plan outlines goals for 2026 to 2028 budget cycle
– The City of Paso Robles will hold a special City Council meeting on May 6 at 6 p.m. in the Norris Room at Centennial Park, 600 Nickerson Drive.
City officials said the meeting will include a review of the proposed Vision Statement, Strategic Work Plan, staff recommendations, and outcomes from a city-led visioning and goals-setting process.
The proposed Vision Statement reads: “We envision a welcoming and thriving community with a diverse economy and quality jobs that empower every generation to build their future here in Paso Robles.”
City officials said the vision, if adopted, will guide strategic decisions, shape organizational culture, and align efforts across City departments in support of long-term goals.
The proposed Strategic Work Plan is designed as a roadmap that combines goals and initiatives developed by staff using recommendations from City Master Plans, departmental strategic plans, and prior project studies. Officials said the plan will guide implementation of City Council priorities, track progress, and improve coordination across departments.
The initiatives outlined in the plan are intended to serve as key objectives for staff, align daily operations and departmental efforts, and support implementation through the fiscal year 2026 to 2028 budget cycle.
City officials said public participation is encouraged to help ensure priorities reflect community needs and City Council direction.
The framework will continue to be refined with input from the City Council and the community before it is finalized and presented for adoption at a future meeting.
More information is available on the city website or by attending the meeting.
