Paso Robles Joint Unified School District names 2026 employees of the year
District recognizes teachers, staff, and administrators for service
– The Paso Robles Joint Unified School District recognized its 2026 Districtwide Employees of the Year during a celebration honoring staff members from across the district.
This year’s honorees were selected by colleagues. School sites first selected certificated and classified employees of the year, who then advanced to the districtwide selection process. Additional districtwide categories included Student Support Services Employee of the Year, Administrator of the Year, and Rookie of the Year.
The district named Alex Huggins of Lewis Flamson Junior High School as Teacher of the Year. Huggins teaches leadership, Advancement Via Individual Determination, and English language development classes. She also serves as Activities Director and supports students through coaching, schoolwide events, and campus culture-building efforts.
Tracey Cagliero, librarian at Georgia Brown Dual Immersion, received the Classified Employee of the Year award. The district said colleagues described her as a welcoming and dependable presence whose work extends beyond the library.
Brandon Duncan, principal of Lewis Flamson Junior High School, was named Administrator of the Year. The district recognized him for leadership, collaboration, and efforts to support students and staff.
Jennifer Asadoor, an instructional coach, received the Student Support Services Employee of the Year award for mentoring educators and supporting elementary schools throughout the district.
Gabrielle Mahfood, a transitional kindergarten teacher at Kermit King Elementary School, was named Rookie of the Year for her work as a first-year district teacher and her approach to supporting young students.
“These employees represent the very best of PRJUSD,” Superintendent Jennifer Loftus said. “They lead with dedication, and their impact is felt by students, families and colleagues across our district. We are proud to celebrate their service and the many ways they help our students discover their strengths, build resilience and thrive.”
