Better Together luncheon connects Central Coast community groups
Annual luncheon returns to Dallidet Adobe and Gardens
– Community members gathered Wednesday at the Dallidet Adobe and Gardens for the annual Better Together Community Luncheon, an event focused on building relationships between nonprofit organizations, faith communities, and local government leaders.
Organizers said nearly 100 people registered for this year’s luncheon. The event brought together nonprofit representatives, faith leaders, and public officials for networking and discussion focused on community collaboration.
“It is a chance to network and say thanks as we work together to make our community welcoming to all,” Julie Jones, chair of the Better Together Community Luncheon, said.
Jones said the luncheon has been sponsored for more than a decade by members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
“The County Historical Society, who are the sponsors of the Dallidet Adobe, have provided this wonderful garden for our luncheon for the past several years,” Jones said.
Organizers said the outdoor setting encouraged conversation and cooperation among groups and individuals serving communities across the Central Coast.
