    Willie Nelson will perform at the Mid-State Fair

    Tickets for the fair performance go on sale May 22

    – Country music artist Willie Nelson and Family will perform at the Chumash Grandstand Arena on July 22 during the California Mid-State Fair concert series.

    The California Mid-State Fair announced the concert as part of its 2026 entertainment lineup. Special guest Ian Munsick will also perform.

    The concert is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 22, at 10 a.m. through California Mid-State Fair.

    Ticket prices are $50, $60, $80, and $100. Fair admission is not included with concert tickets.

    The California Mid-State Fair will run from July 15-26. This year’s theme is “Back to the ’80s.”

    Nelson has performed and recorded music for more than seven decades and has also worked as an author, actor, and activist. During his career, he helped shape the outlaw country movement and released albums including “First Rose of Spring,” “That’s Life,” “The Willie Nelson Family,” and “A Beautiful Time,” which received the Grammy Award for Best Country Album.

    He continues to tour and organize the annual Outlaw Music Festival Tour and remains involved with Farm Aid, the organization he co-founded in 1985 to support family farmers.

    Nelson has also authored several books, including “Willie Nelson’s Letters to America” and “Me and Paul: Untold Tale of a Fabled Friendship.”

    In 2023, Nelson celebrated his 90th birthday with a two-night concert event at the Hollywood Bowl. The performances were later released as “Long Story Short: Willie Nelson 90.” That same year, he was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

    In 2024, Nelson released the albums “The Border” and “Last Leaf on the Tree,” along with “Willie and Annie Nelson’s Cannabis Cookbook,” co-authored with his wife Annie Nelson.
