Habitat ReStores extend summer hours
Both locations will stay open until 6 p.m. through Aug. 31
– Habitat for Humanity San Luis Obispo County will extend summer hours at its ReStore locations in Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo beginning June 2.
The nonprofit organization announced both stores will operate Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Aug. 31. The schedule adds an additional hour each day for shopping, donations, and donation drop-offs.
The Paso Robles location is at 844 9th St., and the San Luis Obispo location is at 2790 Broad St.
The stores sell donated furniture, appliances, building materials, home décor, tools, cabinets, lighting fixtures, artwork, and other household items. Inventory changes daily.
According to the organization, proceeds from purchases help support affordable housing programs in San Luis Obispo County.
“Summer is the perfect time to find a treasure at the ReStore, and now you have one more hour to do it,” said Stephanie Wright, ReStore operations manager for Habitat for Humanity San Luis Obispo County. “We’re excited to welcome even more neighbors through our doors this season.”
The organization said donations of gently used furniture, appliances, cabinets, tools, and building materials help keep reusable materials out of local landfills while supporting housing programs throughout the county.
Free bulky-item pickup can be scheduled through the organization’s website at www.habitatslo.org. Additional information about the organization, donations, and volunteer opportunities is also available on the website.
Habitat for Humanity San Luis Obispo County began building homes in 2003 and has completed 26 homes from Cambria to Grover Beach, according to the organization.
