Stanley Gerard Vierra.
In the care of Chapel of the Roses & Chapel of the Roses Cemetery
– It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Stanley Gerard Vierra, 68, of Templeton, California, who passed away on May 12, 2026.
Stanley was born on June 29,1957 in Hanford, California. He built a life rooted in hard work, loyalty, and the simple joys that meant the most to him. He spent the majority of his life as a heavy equipment operator, a profession in which he truly loved and took great pride in. Whether he was sitting behind the controls of a bulldozer, excavator, grader or loader, Stan could move earth with a skill that only comes from decades of experience. He was respected by many for his skill, his strong work ethic, and his willingness to lend a hand wherever it was needed.
When the workweek ended, Stanley traded the heavy equipment for hunting rifles and fishing poles whenever possible. Hunting and fishing were never just hobbies to him-they were part of who he was. He loved hunting and fishing and treasured the time making memories with friends and family. He loved deer season and was always ready for the hunt. Whether it was chasing game (big or small), target shooting, casting a line, or simply sharing stories- connecting with friends and family is what brought him peace and happiness.
Though he was a tough man in many ways, those closest to him knew his greatest joy came from spending time with the people he loved – especially cookouts. Stanley took great pride in cooking for others and is well known for barbecue among family and friends. Barbecuing for others brought him such joy. He loved the way barbecue always brought people together with shared memories from the past while making new memories for the future.
Stanley was known for his strong handshake, stubborn streak and a willingness to help anyone who needed it. He never asked for much and rarely complained. He believed a man’s word mattered and family was important. More than anything, Stanley will be remembered for his generous heart, his steady presence, his love for his family and friends, and the many lives he touched over the years. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Arthur and LauraMae Vierra.
He is survived by his loving sisters Donna Vierra, Geralyn Davis, Rosemary Stewart (Steve), Elaine Gulley (Bob), Geradette Hopkins, and brother Tom Vierra (Julie). He is also survived by several nephews and nieces, as well as grandnephews and grandnieces.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the many memories he leaves behind and in knowing that his stories, laughter, and love will remain with us always.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date and time.
