Highway 46 repairs will bring two weeks of delays
Work east of the wye junction will reduce traffic to alternating directions
– Crews performing emergency embankment repairs on Highway 46 east of the wye junction with Highway 41 will implement 24-hour signalized traffic control beginning June 16.
Travelers in both directions on Highway 46 at the work zone should expect one-way reversing traffic control to remain in place for the next two weeks.
Crews will place concrete barriers near the centerline of the two-lane roadway to protect workers performing emergency repairs in the westbound lanes.
Drivers can expect delays of 10 to 20 minutes and should allow additional travel time through the area.
Traffic and road condition updates are available through the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information Page at http://cad.chp.ca.gov and the California Department of Transportation QuickMap at https://quickmap.dot.ca.gov.
Transportation officials reminded motorists to drive slowly and carefully through work zones.
