Bicycle Bonanza event supports Bradley students and classrooms

Riders can choose from three routes at the Sept. 20 event

    – The Bradley Union School District will host the Bradley Bulldog Bicycle Bonanza on Sunday, Sept. 20, to raise money for educational programs, classroom resources, and student opportunities.

The event will begin at 7:30 a.m. at Bradley Elementary School, 65600 Dixie St. in Bradley. Cyclists of all ages and abilities may participate.

Riders can choose from a 73-mile route featuring the “Quadbuster” climb, a 22-mile scenic route, or a children’s route for families and recreational riders.

“The Bradley Bulldog Bicycle Bonanza is an opportunity for our community to come together in support of our students. In a small, close-knit community like Bradley, our school is at the heart of everything we do. Every rider, volunteer, sponsor, and donor helps create meaningful opportunities that make a lasting difference in the lives of our children,” Bradley Union School District Superintendent Josh Van Norman said.

Bradley has approximately 115 residents and is one of Monterey County’s smallest rural communities. The district serves students in transitional kindergarten through eighth grade.

Participants may purchase event cycling jerseys and T-shirts, with proceeds benefiting district students. Discounted hotel accommodations are available for riders traveling from outside the area. People who cannot participate may donate to the district.
