San Miguel celebrates Mission Fiesta

More than 1,000 people celebrated the Fiesta at the San Miguel Mission on Sunday. The annual event commemorates the mission’s 217th birthday.
Monte Mills and the Lucky Horseshoe Band provided country musical entertainment. Later, Tres Amigos performed Mexican favorites. Barbecuers cooked chicken and beef at the historic Mission barbecue pits. Attendees could also select Mexican food as a third option. Proceeds from the barbecue and the silent auction go to maintaining Mission San Miguel Arcangel.
