Hwy. 46 closed Sunday mornings for powerlines
A project to adjust the clearance of aerial power lines which cross over Highway 46 East will result in temporary traffic breaks from Jardine Road to Union Road on Sunday, Oct. 26 and Sunday, Nov. 2 from 6 am until 9 am.
The California Highway Patrol will conduct three to four rolling stops with delays not to exceed ten minutes.
Motorists using Branch Road, Jardine Road, Geneseo Road or driveways which intersect with Highway 46 East will be assisted by flaggers during these traffic breaks.
This project is being performed by PG&E, under permit from Caltrans. Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway work zones.
For traffic updates on other state highways in San Luis Obispo County, motorists can call Caltrans District 5 Public Affairs at (805) 549-3318 or can visit the District 5 website at: http://www.dot.ca.gov/dist05/road_information.htm
