Valentine Movie Night is Sunday, Feb. 15th
The 1987 Academy Award Winner, “Moonstruck” starring Nicholas Cage, Cher, Danny Aiello and Olympia Dukakis will play on the big screen Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015, at 7 p.m. in Downtown Paso Robles. The Valentine Movie Night is sponsored by The Paso Robles Main Street Association and Park Cinemas.
Popcorn and soda or champagne and chocolates are included with a $12 ticket. The event starts at 7 p.m., so guests are encouraged to arrive early for best seating at Park Cinemas, 1100 Pine Street, Paso Robles.
The movie plot involves Loretta Castorini, a Brooklyn bookkeeper in her late 30s whose husband died several years earlier in a bus accident. She decides it’s time to get married again so she accepts the proposal of a nice, middle-aged fellow named Johnny Cammareri.
Loretta is convinced her first marriage was cursed because she and her husband had gotten married at City Hall; this time, she’s determined to do things right, even as she admits to her mother, Rose, that she’s not really in love with Johnny. To which Rose replies: “Good. When you love them, they drive you crazy, ’cause they know they can.”
Loretta finds herself in a difficult situation when she falls for the brother of the man she agreed to marry. Nominated for six Academy Awards, including Best Picture; and winner of three Academy Awards: Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Screenplay.
Tickets are limited and may be purchased now for $12 per person, available through the Paso Robles Main Street office at 835 12th St., Suite D, in the “Norma’s Way” alley, or telephone (805) 238-4103. Visa, Mastercard and Discover accepted.
