Small magnitude earthquake strikes northwest of Templeton

A 3.3 magnitude earthquake struck approximately 9 miles northwest of Templeton
At approximately 2:28 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, a 3.3 magnitude earthquake struck approximately 9 miles northwest of Templeton, according to the United States Geological Survey’s website. Residents from Paso Robles to Atascadero reported feeling the temblor.
According to the USGS, 3.0 to 3.9 magnetite earthquakes are considered minor earthquakes. Earthquakes below 2.5 are not typically felt.
No subsequent earthquakes were reported in the area.
