Explosive Ordnance Disposal, or EOD, is the military’s bomb squad

Tackitt Family Vineyards announced this week that they raised $21,017 for the EOD Warrior Foundation (EODWF) during their fourth annual Warriors Helping Warriors event at their winery earlier this month.

The funds raised will be used to provide financial assistance and support to active-duty and veteran wounded, injured EOD warriors, families of our wounded and fallen EOD warriors and by maintaining the EOD Memorial.

More than 175 people joined Tackitt and his wife during the weekend event.

EOD stands for Explosive Ordnance Disposal, the military’s bomb squad. Tackitt Family Vineyards owner and winemaker, Leon Tackitt, is a retired Navy EOD technician. Tackitt and his wife, Cindy, produce a line of wines that benefit the EODWF.

    About the Event

For the last four years, military members of the EOD community and others have come together to support the foundation by bottling a variety of wines specifically developed to benefit the EODWF. More than 175 people joined Tackitt and his wife during the weekend event. Many local businesses also supported the event.
