Paso Robles High School’s Friday Night Live chapter will be the first in San Luis Obispo County to introduce the CinemaDrive experience.

CinemaDrive, a mobile cinema park program, is a multi-media learning experience for Paso Robles High School students. On Wednesday, May 20, approximately 600 freshmen and sophomore students will attend an assembly in the high school gymnasium during their PE class.

Mobile Cinema Park provides a new  way for students to learn. It travels to schools to offer “edu-tainment” shows using multi-sensory technology, such as 3D projection, surround sound, and laser lights, as well as interactive remote control systems. CinemaDrive is funded through a California Office of Traffic Safety grant. The Teens in the Driver Seat program helps connect the company to schools.

The program offered targets high school students during their first years of driving and features several multi-media segments focusing on critical driving factors, such as speeding, distracted driving and texting, driving under the influence, peer pressure, seat belts, and tiredness.

CinemaDrive and FNL say that they share a common goal to provide high school drivers with useful knowledge to change unsafe driving habits and to inspire behavioral shifts among their peers, friends, and family.
