Drought update: City stops watering ornamental turf, landscape medians

The city of Paso Robles has stopped watering ornamental turf and landscape medians. It has also implemented a two day watering schedule city-wide.

Watering mandateGrassy areas, such as the area in front of the library/city hall building, have been shut off. Trees and shrubs in these areas will continue to be watered through an improved drip system.

In future years, if the drought persists, the city staff will look into replacing the turf in the areas with water-conscious landscaping.

I wish people would stop watering their grass. It's going to die anyways it's just a waste of water.
