    Heritage Ranch resident arrested on felony credit card fraud charges

    On Thursday morning at approximately 10:30 a.m., detectives from the Paso Robles Police Department served a search warrant in the 4000 block of Blue Lupine Lane in Heritage Ranch.

    For the past several months, the Paso Robles Police Department has been receiving credit card fraud reports from police departments in other states. Departments located in Texas, Wisconsin, Florida, Nevada, Kentucky, Virginia, Illinois, Tennessee, Minnesota, Oregon and New York all investigated incidents of credit card fraud where the victims resided in those respective states, but the merchandise was shipped to Paso Robles.

    During the course of the investigation, the PRPD Detective Bureau was able to determine the suspect was 31-year old San Luis Obispo County resident Christopher Sprague. Several search warrants were obtained to search Sprague’s residence and for his mailbox at a local UPS Store.

    The stolen property included numerous items of clothing, DVD box sets, and numerous items of “vaping” equipment.

    Detectives were able to recover numerous items of stolen property valued at over $5,000, and also credit card information from 39 potential victims from all over the United States.

    Give the maximum sentence allowed… They used to hang people for stealing horses, and this is worse!
