County to host energy efficiency workshop

– The County of San Luis Obispo’s “EmPower,” program will be hosting a free workshop on Wednesday, August 12 from 5:30-6:30 p.m., with light refreshments and information on how to improve the efficiency, comfort and indoor air quality of one’s home.
At the free workshop, learn how to save money with energy upgrades, such as utility incentives that can exceed $6,500 and low-interest, unsecured financing that starts at 5.9-percent.
Local qualified contractors involved in the program will be on hand after the presentation to answer questions. Attendees can also sign up for a free home energy site visit with an EmPower Energy Coach for a comprehensive look at their home energy performance.
