Tribute concert to be held at D’Anbino Cellars August 15
– A special encore performance of, “A Tribute to Steve and Eydie,” will be held at D’Anbino Cellars in Paso Robles on Saturday, Aug. 15 at 8 p.m. A tribute to Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gormé, the premier showed last March to a full house in Cambria. Mary Anne Anderson and Steve McCann return for another trip down memory lane.
Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gormé were the, “toast of the town in the 1960’s,” and continued to entertain as a delightful duo act for nearly fifty years. Their music ranged from Big Band Swing to Mexican Boleros, and Frank Sinatra called them “the best interpreters of song.”
“I’ve always loved their song choices,” says Anderson. “Steve in his tux and Eydie in her gowns were the quintessential ‘cool’ couple back then.”
The band consists of musicians: guitarist Doug MacDonald, vibraphonist/pianist Charlie Shoemake, bassist Dylan Johnson and drummer Darrell Voss.
