– A single vehicle car accident on Charolais Road was reported this morning at approximately 8:30 a.m. The collision didn’t involve any injuries, and it doesn’t appear drugs or alcohol were a factor, according to Police Lieutenant Ty Lewis.
The driver hit a lamp post, knocking it over, according to eye-witness reports.
Preliminary investigation suggests the driver fell asleep at the wheel, Lewis said. There is no indication that speed was a factor in the crash.
